We Started Because Someone Needed Help

Back in late 2019, our founder was sitting across from his neighbour—a mechanic in his fifties who'd just received a superannuation statement he couldn't decode. That conversation sparked something. Why was basic money knowledge so hard to access?

By early 2020, we'd begun running weekend workshops out of a community centre in Wollongong. No jargon. No condescension. Just practical guidance about budgeting, super, and tax that people could actually use. We've grown since then, but that approach hasn't changed.

What We Actually Do Here

Real Scenarios, Not Theory

Our courses use case studies from actual Australians—teachers managing HECS debt, tradies planning retirement, young families buying their first home. We walk through decisions people face every day, not abstract concepts from textbooks.

You won't find lectures about portfolio theory. Instead, we show you how to read a mortgage statement, compare super funds, or set up a household budget that accounts for life's unpredictability.

Built By People Who've Been There

Our team includes former bank staff, financial counsellors, and adult educators. Most of us came to this work after watching friends or family struggle with money decisions that seemed simple to insiders but confusing to everyone else.

We design courses the way we wished financial education had been available to us—or to our parents—when big decisions loomed.

Flexible Learning That Fits Your Life

Classes run evenings and weekends because we know you're working. Sessions are recorded if you miss one. Materials stay accessible after courses end because life throws curveballs and you might need to revisit something six months later.

Who's Behind This

We're educators and former finance professionals who believe everyone deserves straightforward answers about money—without sales pitches or intimidating terminology.
